SoccerCity claims taxpayers will foot the bill for SDSU West. This is 100% FALSE. The SDSU West plan specifically states the University will purchase the land at “Fair Market Value” and will not result in any new or additional taxes on City residents.

"The People find, declare, and reason as follows: 1. The People of the City of San Diego desire to authorize and direct the sale of the Existing Stadium Site to SDSU, but only if such sale is at such price and upon such terms as the City Council shall deem to be fair and equitable."
